Salam Azizam!

This is Melica and Sophia, the khoshgel khanooms behind Pashmam. Thank you for visiting our website!

We are Iranian-American college students who absolutely LOVE our Iranian culture. The idea behind Pashmam started in the Spring of 2022. It was finals season and we were attempting to study in the library while doing some online shopping. We wanted to get matching sweatshirts that incorporated our Iranian culture and some humor in it. It was then we realized that we couldn’t find any clothing we liked that contained both Gen-z Iranian slang and with representation of our Iranian roots.

At that moment, Pashmam was born. A clothing line that would serve as a bridge between the youth in Iran and the youth here in the diaspora.

‘PASHMAM’ or ‘pashmam rikht’ is a phrase in Farsi that means ‘holy shit’ or ‘omg’. Basically saying, ‘I’m so shook that the hair on my body all fell’. We use this phrase a lot, so it was only fitting for our business.

We then spent all of Summer and Fall of 2022 creating and perfecting our first drop from our college dorm rooms.

Developing this brand took a lot of trial and error but the immense love and support from our friends and family kept us going.

Given what is going on in Iran, we decided that 10% of our profits will go directly to struggling families in this revolution.

Please follow us on our journey where we share our heritage while representing the modern youth culture of Iran.
